Meet Dr. Deutsch

Aaron B. Deutsch, M.D. is a true native Floridian. He grew up in Ft. Lauderdale and has lived in Florida his whole life. Dr. Deutsch is proud to be a Florida Gator! After earning a degree in nutritional science, and graduating with Honors, he attended the University of Florida College of Medicine. He graduated in the top 1/3 of his class. After medical school, Dr. Deutsch completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of South Florida. He also completed his Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship at the University of South Florida. He is Board Certified in Obstetrics/Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine.


During residency he received numerous accolades including: 1st place in the Florida Obstetrics and Gynecology Society research competition, The Berlex Best Teaching Resident Award, 1st place in resident research day, and was given the honor of Chief Resident. After residency, Dr. Deutsch stayed at the University of South Florida for a 3-year fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.


Dr. Deutsch has published multiple peer-reviewed articles in leading scientific journals in the areas of prenatal diagnosis and maternal complications of pregnancy (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed?term=%22aaron%20deutsch%22). He has been invited to present his research at several local, national and international conferences on high-risk pregnancies. Finally, he keeps up to date on the most current medical research, as he has been chosen as an expert in his field to review article submissions for several medical journals in the area of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. 


Dr. Deutsch’s interests include genetic screening, fetal ultrasound, multiple gestations, preterm labor, cervical insufficiency, and medical complications of pregnancy. He also enjoys being actively involved in student and physician education. 


Outside of medicine, Dr. Deutsch enjoys spending time with his wife, Elana, daughters, Bella and Leiya, and dog, Beasley. He enjoys exercise, travel, reading, and is a big movie buff. On most weekends he loves watching Gator football, the Miami Dolphins, and the Miami Heat.
